Elite Syncopations is a ragtime melody by Scott Joplin. This etude focuses on syncopated rhythms and articulation. Learning how to count and/or clap this etude will help the player master the rhythms.
Visual
The focus of this etude is primary direction changes. A primary direction change is straight forwards to backwards, straight backwards to forwards, left to right, and right to left.
The Music Etudes would also work well for Concert Band skill development.
